The End-time
The end-time is the time period just before the second coming of Jesus Christ. We can learn much about the end-time by studying the words of Isaiah. Isaiah teaches that God will protect the righteous if they repent. During the end-time even religious people including their leaders will be blind (Isaiah 56:10, Isaiah 28:14-18) and drunk because they have lost themselves in the world. A major theme of Isaiah is: we all need a wake up call. In chapter 6 we find out that even Isaiah needed a wake up call.
If Isaiah needed a wake up call, how much more do we need one?
Isaiah 6:5&7
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
** If we can admit that we are blind, deaf, and dumb like Isaiah says we can start the process of waking up. We can be forgiven like Isaiah, and get greater understanding. Repenting requires us to be honest with ourselves and God.
A wake up call Chapter 6:8-11
8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate.
Isaiah 54 (Desolote or Divorced Wife)
Isaiah 54 talks about two wives of the Lord or two covenant people the first one (the house of Isreal / 10 tribes jewish people or desolate or divorced wife) that rejected the gospel of christ will receive it (be converted) and number more than the second one (the gentiles or christians).
1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.
7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
It's saying the Lord's blessings will be taken from christians and given back to the divorced wife. There will be some still from the christian gentiles, but much less. The goal as gentile christians is to repent and be part of that remnant that finds favor with God.
The vast majority of christians will not accept the end-time servant that will prepare the way for the second coming because they don't study Isaiah and are not looking for the end-time servant.
